Tavistock Classic Collection Launch

The brief for this project was to create a sub brand from Tavistock Bathrooms that would encompass all traditional styled bathroom furniture & accessories. The branding needed to look classic but with a modern feel, taking a fresher look at designing material for a traditional brand.

This was achieved using modern classic fonts such as Optima with its subtle tails and Gill Sans Pro, a lighter and thinner version of Gill Sans, making it more elegant and therefore perfect for this project. Pairing this with black and white photography, which had been taken through Lightroom to manipulate the clarity, gave for an overall stunningly traditional feeling.

 

I also had to consider the feel of the design and brand and not just the look. The brochure cover is a solid block of colour with simply the logo reversed out of white in order to give maximum impact to the new sub brand from Tavistock. It is printed on an uncoated material, again adding to the classic feel and giving the brochure an overall feeling of expense.

Alongside the brochure I also created supporting POS to be used inside bathroom showrooms to assist with getting the new brand noticed.

The brand was initially rolled out in Ireland, however due to its success within 12 month the Tavistock Classic Collection was then also made available across the entire of the UK.
