Wedding Stationery
When my husband and I decided to get married in we knew that we wanted the theme of our wedding to reflect our interests. My husband is an avid comic book fan and I am a lover of pop art. This seemed like a perfect pairing for our big day. After spending weeks scouring the internet for stationery we couldn't find anyhting we both liked, or could agree on. That was when my husband suggested that I create something to combine the both. After some thought I came up with the designs opposite. They are all taken from real photographs. I illustrated the photos to give them a comic book feel and then applied a halftone texture to give it the Litchenstein pop art effect. The result was exactly what we both wanted.
As the colour scheme was black, white and red it made sense that the comic aspect would be black and white, with flashes of red.
The stationery proved popular among our guests who wanted to know where we got them and even featured on Wedding Magazine's blog for unique and unusual invites.
