The design of a logo for a new Rugby 7's side.

The initial brief for this project was to create a logo for a team called the Canterbury Crusaders, however after a few rounds of designs the coach discovered that there were copyright issues with the name so they soon became the Canterbury 7s.

The change had a big impact on the final logo as we had to drop the idea of using a crusader.

 

Instead I proposed focusing on the fact that the team was welsh as they would be travelling all over the world to play rugby, I achieved this by using of the St David flag as part of the sleeve logo.
